In search of a new bivouac, different from the Città di Clusone and the Frattini but still in the Orobie area, I discover the Pedrinelli bivouac, a construction dating back to the Great War, then converted into a bivouac. Departure from Carona, pass Pagliari and take the path on the left through Val Sambuzza. This time to accompany me is Maddalena, a longtime friend who professes untrained but does not lose a step. We face the climb calmly as we have decided to spend the night outside and in about 4 hours we are at the bivouac but with a lunch break in the middle of the lake just below. Indicatively the time from Carona to the bivouac is about 3 hours or less. At the bivouac, a male ibex comes forward. All the (allegedly) family of 6 will gradually arrive. From the bivouac you can immediately see the Zerna peak and being so close, we decide to reach it. About 20 minutes and we can enjoy a landscape at 360 degrees on Corno Stella, Valtellina, Lago di Publino and, obviously, the Sambuzza valley from which we climbed. We’ll be back soon because not so beautiful clouds were forming. Once back at the bivouac I will dedicate my camera to a timelapse with transition from day to night that I would like to integrate into a video I am preparing. Stay tuned and you will see it soon!
